Under the direction of Ben Dettelback, the Setnor Slides Trombone Ensemble was founded in 2022 on principals of excellence in musicianship and community outreach. It has since become a central part of the Setnor School of Music, performing full length concerts at Syracuse University as well as traveling around town to interact with local students. 

 

Frequently providing music for university functions, the ensemble was recently honored by the Chancellor of Syracuse University by invitation to perform at the New Student’s Convocation. The trombones were also voted “Most Improved Section” in the 2022-2023 academic year.
